## Gus Wang ~ Parent

*"Christopher joined the complete MPM program for after-school math tutoring when he was in elementary school. The material taught at MPM Classroom was lively and innovative. The owner/teacher, Ms. Flora Lee, was very patient, caring, and organized. She kept my son, and all her students, interested in each subject and focused on solving problems. Under her guidance and tutelage, my son was eager to get homework assignments done every time. Due to this solid foundation, Christopher performed well in math and science throughout middle school and high school. Now, a high school graduate, Christopher is going to attend UC Berkeley. We credit Ms. Flora Lee and MPM Classroom for helping our son achieve this amazing feat."*

## Neil ~ MPM Graduate Student

*"When I was in elementary school, I attended the MPM program in Fremont, which was directed by Ms. Flora Lee. MPM's unique curriculum and Ms. Lee's instruction truly helped me develop the quantitative reasoning and critical thinking skills which would benefit me for years to come. Ms. Lee was not only a great instructor, but also a great mentor to me. Even as I struggled, she challenged me and pushed me, helping me to discover my own potential and giving me the confidence to tackle harder and harder problems. She helped me build the solid foundation that was essential to my understanding of higher-level mathematics in high school and later, my grasp of engineering concepts at MIT."*

**Ms. Cari ~ Parent**

*"My daughter enjoys her MPM class. It is not only because of the interesting material, but also because of the good teacher. I can see her improvement on her logic of thinking, calculation skills, and her confidence of handling numbers and solving math problems. As a mom, I appreciate the patience and teaching skills from her very experienced MPM teacher. The teacher can find ways to handle the difficulties that each individual student faces."*

**Katelyn ~ Current MPM Student**

*"MPM is a great math class. It is really fun math and it really helps me learnnew math and helps me with my math skills. For example, at the end of first grade, I was always one of two kids in my class to finish the timed test and the problem solving test first. The other kids also took MPM class. Now after 3 years of MPM, I am much better in math and it makes me love math. MPM really makes learning math fun."*

**Christina Shih ~ MPM Graduate Student**

*"MPM Math has helped build up my foundation of math so that I understood higher levels of mathematics like Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and even Finite Math easier. My mom enrolled me into MPM's program so that I could get some help in math and improve my thinking with world problems. At the same time, my mom also enrolled my younger sister, so she could use some of her spare time to develop some math skills. At MPM, we not only learned the things we learned at school, we also learned ways to solve the same problems faster and touched a little bit on everything we might have learn in school after the MPM program ended. I have to thank this program for helping me with math and with the success I have with studying math at school"*

## Johnny Marra ~ MPM Graduate Student

*"I am grateful for the math and critical thinking skills I gained from MPM math. When I began the MPM program in third grade, I had a weakness in problem solving. It was difficult for me to read a problem and determine how to utilize the given information. MPM taught and trained me how to approach math problems. The thinking process I learned has helped me in all subjects, particularly in geometry and physics. After completing the MPM program in 2002, I went on to succeed in all my math classes through multivariable calculus."*
