Flora Lee, Owner and MPM Math Senior Certified Instructor

Biography:
After being enrolled for one year in the China Medical University in Taiwan, Flora made a big decision to switch her direction in regards to her career. Since she always wanted to be a teacher, she changed her major to mathematics and came to the U.S.A. in 1989. As Flora always enjoyed taching math and communicating with parents, teaching was natural to her. Flora spent fifteen years as a math teacher; during this time, she learned much from her students and created a unique instruction that fit her teaching style. Flora likes to challenge herself, and she helps students develop their potential and build their confidence. Flora has been the owner of MPM Classroom since 1997. She is a Senior Certified Instructor and has helped thousands of students in California in gain proficiency in mathematics.

Biography:
Prior to coming to the United States, Robert taught as a physics and chemistry teacher at a tutoring center in Taipei. After coming to America, Robert enjoyed in several career fields before becoming the joint owner of MPM Classroom. Some of Robert's career highlilghts include: computer engineering, real estate, insurance, and Chinese medicine. In addition to being an owner of MPM Classroom, Robert teaches 3D paper sculpture and math.

Marlo studied English at the University of California Berkeley. He's currently a certificated substitute teacher for the Orchard School District in San Jose. Throughout college, he worked as the Distributions Editor for the Berkeley Fiction Review. After college he pursued a career in business management but quickly realized his passion for education. His future endeavors include a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. He enjoys reading, blogging, the outdoors, and traveling.

Rebecca Gunther graduated from Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College as well as the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences in December of 2010. She has been working in K-12 schools ever since in positions ranging from paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and summer school teacher. She enjoys literature, grammar, and learning new languages. She especially enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities, and helping them succeed.

She also enjoy bridging the gap between diverse groups which is exemplified in her passion for learning about cultural traditions, languages other community endeavors. Also she continuously strive to enhance the positive lifelong educational experiences of children.

Tami Hunter is a California native. For the past 20 years she lived in Santa Cruz and has recently relocated to Downtown San Jose. Tami has three children and five grandchildren. In her spare time, when she is not with my family, she likes to exercise, go to the theatre, read, and travel.
Tami has a Bachelor of Arts, in Liberal Studies, a Minor in Dance, and a California Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. For 15 years she has taught for Mt. Pleasant Elementary School District in San Jose. Tami has experience teaching Grades 3rd thru 9th. Her Multiple Subject Credential permits her to teach K thru12. In addition, she has a Supplemental Credential in Math and English.
Prior to teaching in public school, Tami owned and operated a dance studio for 13 years. Her specialty was tap, ballet, and jazz. She taught ages preschool thru adult. Tami performed annual recitals and also did charity work for the community.

Kathy is wife, and mother of three (3) she has worked as a Teacher’s assistant at Majestic Way Elementary School for 10 years. She enjoys assisting teachers with all facets of the academic program. She has demonstrated the ability to instruct and give advice to students. Proven ability to evaluate and document students’ progress. She is very active in the San Jose Community, serving as the School Site Chairperson for Majestic Way, Chairperson for the Berryessa District Advisory Committee (BDAC), President for the Sierramont Middle School Parent Teacher’s Association (PTA), and currently the Treasurer for North Valley Council of PTAs.
